How do I add or remove a table of contents?

A TOC is added automatically as soon as you have more than three headers. To add one with fewer than four headers, type __FORCETOC__ anywhere on the page or __TOC__ at the position where you want to have the TOC.

To remove a table of contents from a page, add __NOTOC__ to anywhere on the page.

How do I spell check my work?

Sorry - that is not available in Media Wiki. However, you could copy text composed in Media Wiki and paste it into Word, spell check it there, then paste it back here.

How do I revert a page to an earlier version?

  1. Go to the page you wish to revert, click on the History tab at the top of the page, then click on the time and date of the earlier version you want to revert to. It will not work if you click on 'cur', 'last', or "Compare selected versions".
  2. When the page displays, text similar to this: (Revision as of 23:19 Jul 15, 2003), will display. It appears below the page's title, in place of the From {project name}, usually seen.
  3. Verify that you've selected the correct version, then click a link to edit the page as you would normally.
  4. You'll get a warning, above the edit box, about editing an out-of-date revision.
  5. Ignore the warning and save the page.

In case you were wondering - this is a blockquote.
  1. When editing the page, simply leave one blank space at the beginning of the line.

To add your own images:

  • Simply paste the URL of an image to the page. Flickr accounts come in handy for this. After all, you don't want to "steal" other peoples' bandwidth.
